Starting a business is exciting, and as we have discussed before, it is the quickest way to build a life of time and financial freedom. Having a mentor can also be incredibly beneficial during this journey.

But it can seem daunting. Business models, marketing, finance, investors, strategy for a start.

There is no end of advice online about making repeated mistakes and consistently bouncing back from them. But what if there was a guide on the path? Someone who had done what you had done before and could help you navigate your journey?

I recently did just that by paying for a year-long mentorship at Progressive Property, one of the UK’s largest property training companies. The aim was to fast-track my progress, help me understand common mistakes, and meet like-minded investors.

However, it involves a financial investment, which can be costly for a company in the early stages. So, is it worth getting a mentor when starting?

This blog explores the pros and cons sprinkled with some of my own experiences.
